Small program = big results!

We keep our team size small to ensure each student gains maximum skills through 1:1 time. In group class, we work at our own skill levels but working in a group. In privates, students work 1:1 with their instructor. 

There are no limits to what you can do! 

In competitive dance, you should always choose styles that speak to your soul.

All of our dancers perform in different styles according to their interests. There are no obligations to perform in group dances.

Got a vacation planned? No problem!

Dancers are encouraged to participate/perform in 3 local competitions per dance with no limit to how many you can participate in. Choose your competition schedule over the year.

Keeping costs down is key!

We utilize our costume bank and our team gear is embroidered and available in various sizes so you can rent your pieces for a nominal annual fee. The customizable competitive participation ensures you're dancing on a budget that suits your family. 

Dance is for EVERYBODY!

With 20+ years experience in and out of the studio, we specialize in adaptive dance for physical & cognitive needs. We welcome dancers with diagnoses across the spectrum and can work with you to ensure a positive experience. 

Creating positive experiences is #1 for us at S2SD. We specialize in meeting dancers where they're at and growing from there. We'll push your opinion of what you thought your body could do, show you that you're resilient in the face of difficulty, and that your light can shine through movement.

In 2024 we met on Sundays for 2hrs of group classes. Privates or semi-privates were held beforehand so some dancers came for 3-4hrs. Sept-Dec we danced for 3 weeks then took a break on the 4th week where in I held privates and make up classes for anyone who missed group class. In preparation for competitions, we met for 4hrs on Sundays for a few weeks to polish our dances. 

We participated in 5 Halifax competitions, showing 4 dances over 4 months (Feb-May). 

We have some BIG PLANS for 2025!

We're taking it to the next level by opening our program to the public for the first time.
